SPL has released the Venos stereo bus compressor, which is based on vintage tube models but offers modern functionality.

The new product has step control for precise operation and is suitable for both mastering and mixing. Venos has six different operating modes: Linear/Modern/Vintage/Focus/Punch/External Sidechain. It should be noted that the main potentiometers, including Input Gain, Threshold, Tube Bias, and Output Gain, are equipped with 41-position knobs for increased precision. However, the Attack and Release controls have six parameter positions.

The SPL Venos features two special EQ settings: a smooth Air Bass mode (+2 dB) and a Tape mode with high-frequency roll-off, as well as the ability to choose between Germanium, LED, and Silicon diode modes that affect the Attack and Release parameters.

The SPL Venos will be available for purchase at a price of around $5000. For more detailed information about this compressor, please visit the product page on the official SPL website.
