RODE is expanding its Caster series with the release of the RODECaster Video S, a compact console designed for video production and streaming. It is a simplified version of the Video model.

The RØDECaster Video S is a revolutionary all-in-one video and audio production console designed to deliver intuitive control over every element of your content. A compact version of the RØDECaster Video, it combines powerful video switching, recording and production capabilities with a fully integrated professional audio mixer. From video podcasts and studio productions to live streams and interviews, the RØDECaster Video S provides a seamless way to streamline and supercharge your workflow with broadcast-quality results.
The device allows you to switch between four video sources and activate up to five scenes. This new product has a built-in media player with 24 GB of memory that supports playback of the following file types: MP4, PNG, JPG, and WAV. The console can record in ISO format from four video sources. It also boasts NDI support via Ethernet, RTMP streaming, UVC recording mode, and direct recording to a USB drive. Additionally, it offers graphic overlays, multi-source layouts, and chroma key.
Other features include an eight-core processor, a built-in APHEX audio processing system (compression, de-essing, high-pass filter, EQ, stereo imaging, compellor, aural exciter, and big bottom), Bluetooth 5.3 support, two RØDE wireless microphones (Series IV), a 2-inch touchscreen display, the RodeCaster app for parameter settings, streaming via Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet, support for NDI HX2/HX3 PTZ cameras, two low-noise Revolution preamps with combined XLR/TRS connectors (Neutrik), two TRS headphone jacks, three HDMI (full HD 1080p) inputs, and one output, and five USB-C ports.
