Moog has released an official app for controlling the Moog Messenger synthesizer. The Moog Messenger Editor allows you to control the instrument via your pc by interacting with its parameters and changing presets.
The Moog Messenger Editor is available for free on the company's official website. After launching the program and connecting the synthesizer to your computer with a cable, you can use the editor to edit parameters, save and change presets, share patches, and work with the sequencer in a separate window.
Currently, the editor is available as a standalone application for macOS and Windows. Moog announced that a VST/AU plug-in version of the editor will be released in December, which will allow the synthesizer to be controlled within a DAW.
The company noted that, for the editor to work, the synthesizer must be updated to firmware v1.0.13; otherwise, the application and instrument will not be able to connect. The firmware update is available on the company's website.
Interestingly, the day before the official editor was released, renowned synthesizer enthusiast Momo Müller presented a similar app. Müller's version is available for purchase for $6.99 and offers more features.

The enthusiast did not comment on the release of the official editor for the Moog Messenger synthesizer. So far, Momo Müller's development offers more possibilities, but it is unclear if development will continue.

This monophonic analog synthesizer was designed to be a powerful instrument for both beginners and experienced musicians — the company offered it at an affordable price with a rich sound and extensive control options.
