The updated Fruity Slicer 2 and Loop Starter tools, along with the new Emphasizer plugin, are now available in the FL Studio 2025.2 update. The update is available for download on the developers' website.
The previous FL Studio 2025 update added templates, dynamic tracks in the mixer, and an interactive, AI-powered assistant to the popular audio workstation. The current update, version 2025.2, focuses on improving existing tools.
The built-in Loop Starter sampler now has the ability to select a key and features an expanded selection of genre-specific sound sets for funk, afrobeats, reggaeton, and boom bap. Additionally, loop points have been added to each channel.
The updated Fruity Slicer 2 plugin, which cuts audio into short segments, has a modified interface. Additionally, the slicer can now apply envelopes to each created segment.
A new Emphasizer tool has also been added to the workstation. It is described as an intuitive, dynamic signal-shaping tool. The plugin features an instant undo mode and is useful for processing individual signals, buses, sends, and the master channel.
The FL Studio content browser and library now feature smart filtering, where an algorithm analyzes the sound library and finds similar samples or loops. Users can specify the search and grouping criteria, as well as what the algorithm should focus on when analyzing content.
To simplify working with heavy effect chains, the Patcherize feature has been added to the workstation. Activating it converts the active effect chain on the track into a static patch for the Patcher instrument. This allows users to access and apply created chains with just a few clicks, saving time and computer resources.
Other changes include bug fixes and minor improvements to the Kepler, Kepler Exo, and Fruity Compressor plugins. The complete list of changes to the FL Studio 2025.2 update can be found on the software's official website.
