Avid has released an updated version of Pro Tools 2025.12, adding a number of new features and improvements to its renowned digital audio workstation.
DAW now offers native support for Audio Vivid, the world's first AI-based immersive audio codec standard. Audio Vivid allows users to position and move sound objects precisely in three-dimensional space, providing a fully immersive experience and ensuring accurate sound reproduction across a range of playback systems, from headphones to complex multi-channel speaker setups.
Pro Tools 2025.12 boasts the Audio Brewers ab Decoder HOA Express feature, which quickly decodes ambisonic sound into stereo, 5.1 or 7.1.2 formats without configuration. Pro Tools also features full integration with Bounce Factory (by Andrew Scheps) via SoundFlow, providing users with quick access to a single standard for exporting mixes, stems and finished results.
Other improvements and innovations include: Axart Labs AutoBeat Lite (an AI-based MIDI beat engine); Safari Pedals Time Machine (simulation of iconic tones from the 50s to the 80s using vintage-style filtering, saturation, and Lo-Fi samples); Wave Alchemy Triaz Player + Avid Select Expansion (over 8,000 high-quality samples, 375 presets, and exclusive Avid tones). In addition, there are new ARA integrations: VoiceWunder (hyper-realistic speech synthesis (TTS/STS) with ultra-low latency, support for 74 languages, and one-click noise reduction); VOIS (high-precision voice filter that converts instruments into voices or vice versa, preserving pitch and rhythm); Vovious (natural vocal tuning with color coding, support for multi-track recording, and instant adaptation to arrangement changes).
