Arturia Pigments 7 Release – improved Play View mode and new modules

In an official press release, the French company announced the release of the updated Arturia Pigments 7 all-in-one software synthesizer. This seventh edition features new operating modes, improved modules, and an expanded content library.

It offers six types of synthesis, rich modulation and effects sections, and a generative sequencer for creating unique sounds. According to the company, the synthesizer strikes the perfect balance between deep sound design and spontaneous creative flow.

This version has an updated Play View mode interface, new sound processing modules, an improved engine, and an expanded content library. The developers also optimized the synthesizer, making it more productive and efficient. This makes it smoother and more convenient to work with.

The redesigned Play View mode features a new, simpler, and more intuitive interface. According to Arturia, the mode window focuses on quick and intuitive parameter editing and more convenient sound control.

All previously created synthesizer modules have been improved. Notably, the synthesizer now has more accurate amplitude envelopes and supports FM modulations on the classic filter.

The effects library has been expanded to include four new processes:

1. Corroder Effect — a tool for adding distortion to specified frequency ranges. Promises precise processing without changing the original timbre of the sound.
2. Rage Filter — a filter for rough and sharp harmonics. Allows you to create cutting and roaring signals, as well as turn the sound into “acid tones.”
3. Ripple Filter — a filter for creating “laser pulsations.” It is distinguished by the addition of ringing high frequencies.
4. Reverb Filter — a filter that creates metallic resonant sounds. In Cutoff modulation mode, it produces non-tonal noise signals.

The built-in content library has been significantly expanded. The developers have added 150 factory presets and 450 presets for extensions, 50 wave tables, 30 samples, and 20 noise patches. The catalog has also been expanded with new training materials available directly in the synthesizer window.

Other improvements include numerous changes to the interface when working with modulations and overall performance optimization. In general, everything has been done to ensure that the synthesizer runs quickly and smoothly, and that interacting with it is more convenient and comfortable.

Arturia Pigments 7 is now available for purchase on the Arturia website. It is available in VST3, AU, and AAX formats and is compatible with Windows 10 and later and macOS 10.13 and later operating systems.
