Following the recent release of the MiniFreak Vocoder Edition synthesizer, Arturia has released a new plugin called Mix DRUMS, developed in collaboration with mixing engineer Emre Ramazanoglu, designed to streamline drum processing workflows.
It reportedly boasts intelligent peak control, including a transparent Input Ceiling and Clipper for peak preservation, as well as a two-band engine with separate Low and Mid/High sections for individual saturation, equalization, and Drive effects. Additionally, it has a Transient Shaper function with independent Attack and Body controls for each band, as well as the ability to mix clean and saturated sounds.
Users will be able to add reverb, tape delays, and digital delays, among other things. The plugin also has additional effects, such as vinyl crackle, tape hiss, and electronic grain, which can be triggered at the beginning or end of processing. Additionally, 92 presets are offered for different types of drums and genres.
