Apple announced the launch of the Creator Studio subscription in an official press release. This subscription offers applications for working with audio, photos, and videos.
According to the description, subscribers will have access to the following applications:
The launch of the subscription coincided with the release of the Pixelmator Pro photo editor for iPads. The developers transferred all of the desktop program's features to Apple tablets. The photo editor can be purchased as a standalone app or used within Creator Studio as needed.
Apple noted that users of the new subscription will also receive premium templates for the Keynote, Pages, and Numbers office applications. Additionally, subscribers will be able to create and edit images using OpenAI's AI models.
The subscription will be available starting January 28. It will cost $12.99 per month or $129 per year. For comparison, the full versions of the DAW Logic Pro and the Final Cut Pro video editor are priced at $199.99 and $299.99, respectively.
According to the company, buyers of Mac computers with Apple chips, as well as owners of iPads with A16, A17 Pro, and M chips, will receive three months of free access to the subscription. Users of other devices will have access to a one-month trial period.
Despite the launch of the subscription, all Creator Studio apps will remain available for purchase separately. Apps that have already been purchased will continue to work and receive updates regardless of subscription status.
