AlphaTheta has released the first SLAB pad controller designed specifically for Serato Studio, in collaboration with Serato. It can also be used as a regular MIDI controller in MIDI mode.

The AlphaTheta Serato SLAB can control Serato Sample and Serato DJ Pro as an additional device, offering users flexibility in production and performance projects. SLAB's universal MIDI mode allows you to easily switch between the built-in Serato Sample control and custom mapping settings for any compatible DAW. The controller features 16 velocity-sensitive RGB pads, Pad FX mode and a sequencer. It also boasts Auto Set and Favourite features and a large multi-function knob for browsing the library, scrolling and editing samples.

Other features include the ability to adjust the volume of individual elements of a track (such as vocals, melody, drums, and bass) without moving them to separate tracks, Focus Mode for controlling everything the cursor is pointing at in Serato Studio (including plug-ins), a dynamic OLED display for visualisation with four touch encoders for easy switching between modes, dedicated transport controls and buttons for navigating between scenes, decks and pads, a long-travel touch strip for dynamic control of parameters such as filtering, pitch shifting, swing division and note repeats, and a precise step sequencer with grid editing, tempo control, swing and note shift. The device is powered via USB.

The AlphaTheta Serato SLAB is available to purchase at a price of $300 and comes bundled with Serato Studio software. For more detailed information about the device, please visit the product page on the official Serato or AlphaTheta website.
