The manufacturer announced the release of the Allen & Heath Xone K3 studio controller on its official website. Housed in a cast metal case, the model is equipped with 52 controls and buttons for interaction.
Users have access to 12 rotary controls, six "endless" encoders, 30 backlit buttons, and four faders. The controller supports up to 174 assignable MIDI parameters for quick recall and control.
The controller comes with the Xone Controller Editor application, which allows users to configure the device, save presets, and exercise more precise control over the application. This program enables users to reassign MIDI CC and MIDI Note events, adjust the RGB backlighting of the keys, and save presets to the device's memory or computer.
It should be noted that the model has a "STAR" function that allows you to connect several Xone K3s into a single control center. The software recognizes each controller independently, significantly expanding the control capabilities. For example, one controller can be responsible for mixer channels, another for reverb plugins, and so on.
The model has a main USB-C port, as well as X-Link RJ45 network inputs and outputs for connection. No drivers are required to use the controller; the Xone K3 is ready to use immediately upon connection to a computer, tablet, or smartphone. The list of compatible operating systems includes Windows, macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and Android.
The Allen & Heath Xone K3 is already available for purchase. The recommended retail price of the controller is $199. For more details, please visit the manufacturer's official website.
