AKAI Professional is releasing an updated firmware version for its popular AKAI Pro Force sampler/groovebox/workstation/controller. This update brings the MPC 3 OS feature set to the standalone workstation. For now, AKAI Force 3.5 firmware version is only available in beta testing format.
Just in case we remind you that AKA ProI Force is an innovative workstation controller that combines the best of the DAW world. It is based on an intuitive workflow with midi clips, which forms the creative core of the work. With eight stereo tracks and 4 built-in synthesizer engines, as well as other features such as MIDI or CV control of external devices, the Groovebox offers endless possibilities for unleashing your creativity.
Firmware AKAI Force 3.5 provides deeper DAW-style control and full support for a suite of plug-ins, including the latest releases from AIR Music Technology, AKAI Professional, and Native Instruments (MPC Editions). It also unlocks many user-requested features. MPC Stems are now also available directly in the Groovebox, a feature that allows you to divide a song into separate stems: vocals, drums, and other musical elements. Other improvements and innovations include tempo and sequence action automation, new arrangement tools, and a number of new modes for improved visual control. These include a new Main Mode, XL Channel Strip, and Sounds Mode. Other improvements include MPC Sequence import, advanced key group synthesis, Warp algorithm selection, advanced export options, and faster sample loading.
Firmware version 3.5 is available for free download in beta testing format to all AKAI Force product users on the official AKAI website. Additionally, a limited-time offer is available for the complete Force plug-in kit, which regularly retails for $650, but is currently priced at $100. Please note that all beta test participants will be able to download the AIR Multiband Filterbank plug-in for free for a limited time.
