Zoom introduces the new H6studio eight-track recorder with dual ADCs, which is compatible with Zoom Capsule System 3.0 and is suitable for recording interviews, podcasts, streaming, and field recordings; providing studio-quality sound for any recording, anywhere.
The new product comes with an X/Y XYH-5s microphone capsule (with 19.4-millimeter microphones) and four combined XLR/TRS inputs with an F-series preamplifier. It also has a stereo mini-jack input. With a dynamic range of 132 dB, it can simultaneously record up to eight tracks to microSDHC cards (up to 32 GB) and microSDXC cards (up to 2 TB). Additionally, the device can be used as a USB audio interface (6x2) with recording and streaming capabilities on operating systems such as macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android.
The Zoom H6studio is equipped with a 2-inch color display and a built-in speaker. It can withstand sound pressure levels of up to 140 dB, and it is compatible with stereo microphone capsules, such as the SSH-6e, XYH-6e, and EXH-6e input expansion module. Note that timecode synchronization is possible via an optional BTA-1 Bluetooth adapter or TCA-1 adapter. The model can be powered by an optional AD-17 power supply, a USB-C port, or four AA batteries, which provide up to 15 hours of battery life.
The Zoom H6studio will be available for purchase at a price of around $400, which we believe is quite reasonable for a device of this class. For more detailed information about the recorder, please visit the product page on the official Zoom website.
