September 4, 2025

RANE has released the ONE MKII DJ controller, which boasts a host of improvements. Today, we'll discuss the key features and changes to the new device.

The new product boasts a combination of tactile analog control and deep digital interaction, thanks to its motorized 7.2-inch jog wheels, which simulate the feel of vinyl, as well as its adjustable torque and built-in DSP chip. The controller's effects section has been completely redesigned and includes 29 built-in hardware effects. Each of the two decks has four effect channels that can be switched using a dedicated button. Additionally, transitioning from touch strips to dedicated buttons and a joystick for selecting effects reflects the ONE MKII model's redesigned control layout, which prioritizes speed, accuracy, and muscle memory.

Other new features include: OLED displays; functionality for stems (processing vocals, drums, and melodic elements as modular parts of a track); new buttons: “Acapella” and “Instrumental” (allow you to instantly isolate vocal or instrumental content); the equalizer section now includes direct control of stem levels; pads can be divided into several stem-oriented modes, such as Roll and FX Triggering; PRECISION FEEL faders with adjustable tension; MAG FOUR crossfader; HF/LF filter; independent multi-mode pads (sensitive to press speed); sampler volume control; Serato DJ Pro included (upgrade to Serato DVS is paid); and much more.
