Neural DSP, known for its amplifier modeling technologies, introduces Mantra, a new plugin offering comprehensive vocal processing solutions during recording and mixing. Mantra is ideal for classical singing, rap, voice-overs, podcasts, and streaming. It is also effective when working with synthesizers, drums, guitars, and other instruments.
This new product boasts vintage and "warm" sound emulation with modern controls offering two modes of operation: Tracking and Mixing. The first mode provides low latency and reduced CPU load. The second mode offers improved quality and detail, but requires additional latency and increased system resource consumption. The Mixing mode features a Sculpt module that analyzes the voice in real time, adding clarity and presence through a tonal curve. Sculpt also smooths out sharpness and balances the timbre of vocals in Mixing mode, functioning as a smart multiband compressor that does not require parameter adjustment.
The software includes sections for pitch correction, equalization, compression, gate, and deessing, as well as tools for creating harmonies and applying effects, such as harmonies, delays, reverbs, modulation, and doubling. Mantra features a multi-mode compressor with three classic modes: Tube, Stress, and Multi. These modes offer musical, aggressive, and modern compression sounds. Meanwhile, the Tape, Tube, and Digital modes of the Multimode Saturation module provide a wide range of distortion options. The plugin supports Windows 10 and above and macOS 13 and above in the following formats: VST, AU, and AAX.
Neural DSP Mantra is available for purchase at a price of $199. A free 14-day trial version is available for download, and more detailed information can be found on the official Neural DSP website.
