August 8, 2025

Music blogger Sam Battle, creator of the popular YouTube channel Look Mum No Computer, has announced the release of a video game. The project, named after the blogger's channel, is a twin-stick shooter and action RPG.

The game is described as "a wild journey where music meets chaos." It invites players to embark on an adventure in the pixel art world of Soldersworth.

The main characters are Sam and his sidekick, Cosmo. They must battle insane machines and "fix them from the inside." Players will encounter unforgettable characters and experience indescribable musical chaos.

The project was developed by the German studio The Bitfather. Players must create and upgrade synthesis modules and use them as weapons. Look Mum No Computer is noted for its dynamic music, with each synthesizer created complementing the game's soundtrack.

According to Sam Battle, the blogger who launched the Museum "This Museum Is (Not) Obsolete" and created the synthesizer with the largest number of oscillators, the project allows you to customize gameplay and experiment with music like he does. The available game modules are inspired by Battle's projects and, as the developers note, will appeal to fans and regular viewers of Look Mum No Computer.

The creators promise an exciting adventure that will appeal to musicians and gamers alike. "Whether you're a fan of retro games, electronic music, or Look Mum No Computer, you're sure to love this project," Battle remarked.

Commenters on Steam say the game looks exciting and fun. "OMG, modular synthesizers and video games? Sign. Me. Up.”, wrote one member of the gaming community.
