Teenage Engineering is preparing to release the EP-2350 sampler and the EP-40 mixer. This became known thanks to a Reddit user who noticed posters with the new products at a music event
YouTube blogger Koji Seto later confirmed the Reddit user's information. The enthusiast spotted mentions of the new instruments on the social media accounts of the Japanese music store, Rock oN Company.
Apparently, the posts featuring the products were published prematurely by mistake. The retailer later removed any mention of the products from its accounts.
According to Rock oN Company, the Teenage Engineering EP-40 is a portable, battery-powered mixer. The Teenage Engineering EP-2350 Riddim Supertone is a sampler and groove box inspired by dancehall and reggae music.
Photos show the sampler alongside the Ting FX microphone. With its help, you can create samples based on real sounds from the outside world.
Some music publications have suggested that the EP-2350 Riddim Supertone will replace or modify the EP-133 K.O. II. Rather than having numbered keys, the body has buttons with icons for bass, drums, keys, and sampling (vinyl record).
According to the store, the Teenage Engineering EP-40 is a compact, two-channel mixer with a three-band equalizer on each channel. The mixer is equipped with an LCD display and a set of mini-jack inputs and outputs.
Despite Rock oN Company deleting posts mentioning the new products, Koji Seto confirmed the published information. Apparently, Teenage Engineering invited the blogger to a private party celebrating the launch of the new products, where photos of the instruments were taken.
