The DAW Korg Gadget is now available on the Sony PlayStation 5 console. This information was revealed in a joint press release by the Japanese companies.
The Korg Gadget mobile DAW expands the number of available platforms. Following versions for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, developers added the PlayStation 5 to the list of supported systems.
This release is not Korg's first experience with video game and entertainment systems. Previously, this Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) was released on the Nintendo Switch and ported for VR systems.
PlayStation 5 owners will be able to create music on their TV screens using a gamepad, keyboard, or mouse. Additionally, the PS5 version of the workstation will feature new modules from Pittsburgh Modular, Unknown Devices, Qu-Bit Electronix, and other companies.
According to Korg, Korg Gadget for PlayStation is based on the Unreal Engine, which the company calls one of the most productive game engines currently available. Using the engine, the creators were able to place instruments in an immersive, 360-degree environment.
Korg Gadget for PlayStation is available on the PlayStation Store. The app is priced at $49.99. More information about the app can be found on the PS Store website, or on Korg website.
