iZotope has released Ozone 12 – a new version of the company's flagship audio mastering software. The software has received numerous updates, improvements, and additional features.
The main difference between the new product and its predecessors lies in three new features: Stem EQ, which combines stem separation with traditional equaliser settings; Bass Control, a machine learning-based module that improves low frequencies; and Unlimiter, which is capable of restoring overly compressed audio signals and bringing back lost transients and dynamic range using AI.
The Master Assistant and the limiting algorithm for the Maximizer module have also been updated and improved. Master Assistant now enables customisation of settings, including selection of processing modules, target LUFS levels and genres. The Maximizer limiting algorithm has been updated with the introduction of IRC 5 to ensure high sound volume and clarity. Additionally, the extended version includes 21 modules that can be used separately, including five products from the Catalyst series: FXEQ, Velvet, Cascadia, Aurora and Plasma.
iZotope Ozone 12 is available to purchase in the following versions: Elements – $55 / Standard – $220 / Advanced – $500 / Music Production Suite – $800. For more detailed information about the Ozone 12 software, please visit the product page on the official iZotope website.
