Elektron presents Tonverk (stereo sampler/groovebox), an instrument that combines multitrack sampling, modulation, and flexible effects routing in one compact device.
The new product features eight stereo audio tracks, four bus tracks, three send tracks, and one mix track. Each track can operate in one of four modes: Single Player (for polyphonic playback of individual WAV samples), Multi Player (for multisamples with multiple velocity layers for each note), Subtracks (for creating up to eight monophonic subtracks within a single channel), and MIDI (for external hardware sequencers).
The effects section includes: Infinite Flanger, Warble, Chrono Pitch, Rumsklang Reverb, and Supervoid Reverb, as well as filters, delays, compressors, and distortion. Each track is equipped with two assignable LFOs, an assignable modulation envelope, and additional modulation parameters on buses, sends, and the mix channel. Other features include a polyphonic sequencer with 256 steps per pattern, individual track duration settings, time multipliers, parameter lock, trigger conditions, and an arpeggiator per track. Performance modes are also included. Sampling can be done in two ways: via the recorder function or the auto sampler, which automatically multisamples external MIDI-controlled instruments.
The product comes in a steel case with an OLED display (128 x 64) and an SD card slot. It offers several connectivity options, including two TRS inputs, four TRS outputs, a TRS headphone output, MIDI In/Out/Thru with DIN synchronization, and two USB-C ports. The device comes with a 64 GB SD card, a power supply, a USB-C cable, and an exclusive art object.
The Elektron Tonverk is available for purchase at a price of approximately $1,400. For more detailed information about the device, please visit the product page on the official Elektron website.
