Behringer released Skies - a device based on the Clouds granular processor from the manufacturer Mutable Instruments.
The new product is claimed to be a Real-Time processor capable of affecting parameters such as Position, Size, Pitch, Density and Texture. The module allows you to modulate various effects, including dense reverb and glitch rhythms, using controls and CV connectors.
In turn, four sample rate modes are provided: 32kHz/16-bit stereo (1s buffer); 32kHz/16-bit mono (2s buffer); 16kHz/8-bit stereo (4s buffer); 16kHz/8-bit mono (8s buffer). Also, the processor has a stereo input and stereo output. It is noted that the mono modes on the output will be in stereo. In addition, there is a USB-C port (for firmware updates).
The Behringer Skies will be available for purchase for around $100. More information about the device can be found on Behringer's official website.
